The Strata™ Weight Vest itself weighs 2.3lbs. When the vest is paired with precision weight plates, it brings the total weight up to the required competition standards.

Both the 7lb and 10lb pairs meet or exceed the minimum required weight before the vest is added, for women and men respectively, so they can be used in competition without risk of being underweight.

Strata™ Weight Vest Plates: Not all, but they will fit most weight vests designed for steel-cut weight plates. If your vest accommodates standard steel weight vest plates, these should fit. The 10lb pair measures just under 10"(W)x11.5"(H)x0.5"(D).

Use a damp cloth with mild soap to spot clean the surface. For tougher odors, lightly wipe down with a mix of water and white vinegar, then air dry thoroughly. Do not machine wash or dry your weight vest. Machine agitation and heat can damage the fabrics, and internal foams.

To maintain your soft weight plate, wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap as needed, especially if it has been exposed to saltwater, as this can cause corrosion in certain materials. Dry it thoroughly before storage to prevent moisture buildup, and inspect it regularly for any wear or damage, particularly if used on abrasive surfaces. Avoid soaking or submerging to protect the materials and filling. Storing it in a dry, cool place when not in use will help extend its lifespan.

Steel shot consists of very small, spherical pellets made of steel, commonly used as a dense and durable material that serves as a compact filler, providing evenly distributed weight that enhances stability and resistance during training. Unlike sand and other soft fillers, steel shot is very heavy, meaning it has a higher weight to volume ratio than sand. This makes them more low profile, and less bulky than sand plates.
